Schools are busy environments, and identifying which children need additional emotional support can be challenging

Play Therapy is at the heart of what we do at POP Therapy. Our Level 7 post-graduate trained Play Therapists use the power of play which is a child’s natural language. We create a safe space in your school, where children can express themselves, heal from difficult experiences, and rediscover joy. Grounded in the latest neuroscience, our approach supports long-term emotional growth and resilience, not just short-term fixes.

POP Schools Referral Process

We are pleased to work alongside your school in providing therapeutic support. The following steps outline our referral pathway to ensure a clear and efficient process for all involved.

1. Initial Consultation

We encourage a school representative, such as the SENCO, Headteacher or Assistant Headteacher, to arrange an initial Microsoft Teams consultation with our Clinical Director, Mim. This meeting provides an opportunity to discuss the referral in detail, explore the child’s needs, and consider the most appropriate therapeutic support.

To arrange this consultation, please click Book a Meeting with Mim, or use the button above titled “Book a Free Discovery Chat.

2. Completion of Referral Paperwork

To enable our clinical team to proceed efficiently, we ask that the school completes the POP Referral Paperwork in full.

You can access the complete set of referral documents here: POP Schools Paperwork.

Within this pack, certain forms require completion by the parent or carer. These may either be forwarded directly to the family by the school, or you may provide the parent or carer’s contact details when submitting the referral so that our team can make contact and guide them through the necessary documentation.

3. Submission of Referral Documents

Once all required documents have been completed, please email them to info@powerofplaytherapy.co.uk using the subject line:

“(School Name) Referral Paperwork.”

Our team will acknowledge receipt and aim to respond within 24 hours during working days.

We look forward to working alongside your school or organisation. Thank you for reaching out to POP Therapy.
